Known for its masterful use of regional ingredients, the restaurant’s menu features a standout selection of dishes that showcase the best of Friulian and Italian gastronomy. From the rich, tender Fiorentina steaks like the Scottona Piemontese and Pezzata Friulana to the carefully curated Antipasto Misto di Salumi and house-made cheeses, every plate speaks to tradition and quality. The osteria’s gnocchi al ragù and classic pâtes carbonara are crafted to perfection, satisfying even the most discerning palate.

What makes La Da Gjgjote truly special is not just the food but the atmosphere and the attentive, warm service. Guests repeatedly praise the staff for their friendliness and the seamless way they accommodate guests, even those unfamiliar with Italian. The absence of a written menu enhances the experience; the staff enthusiastically guide diners through the day’s offerings, delivering a personalized and genuine touch.

The space itself is unpretentious yet inviting—a typical local osteria where people come to enjoy a fine meal paired with an excellent selection of Italian wines, including robust Merlots and other regional varietals. It’s an ideal destination for those who appreciate quality, simplicity, and the joy of discovery at the table.

In summary, Ostarie La Da Gjgjote offers a remarkable culinary journey that celebrates the best of Friuli’s meat dishes, artisanal charcuterie, fresh pasta, and local wines. Very good food. We started with cold cuts, mortadela made with donkey and tryfel (original recipe) then spaghetti ragu, flavourful. However, there isn't any menu nor is the bill detailed. Great atmosphere, typical local osteria that people drop by to have a drink and a bite to eat.
